About Nothoro

Nothoro was founded on the straightforward premise that a room's lighting affects its atmosphere and merits greater consideration than it typically receives.

We found that when people are furnishing a home, lighting is frequently the last thing they consider. Even though a fixture is the focal point of the space and creates the atmosphere every evening, it is selected quickly, installed, and then forgotten. Instead of treating lighting as an afterthought, we wanted to treat it as a part of the home that people live with.

We began with pendant lights for this reason. They have the ability to finish a dining table, kitchen island, or peaceful reading nook, hang where the eye naturally goes, and define a room just as much as any piece of furniture. A well-designed pendant should, in our opinion, appear as good when turned off during the day as when it is glowing at nite.

Our Approach

Three criteria are used to choose each piece in our collection: how well it shines, how it looks in a real house, and how long it lasts. soft, warm light that enhances a space. Honest materials and simple shapes that blend in with various interior designs without drawing attention to themselves. Long-lasting construction that won't be replaced the following season.

We purposefully restrict the range of products we offer. We would rather have a carefully chosen selection of pendants that we genuinely support rather than a wide selection. In this way, making a decision becomes easy rather than difficult. At Nothoro, we don't offer a piece if it doesn't contribute to a room feeling cozier, calmer, and more like home.

Our Mission

To enable everyday homes to have thoughtful lighting. Our goal is for our clients to enter a room, look up, and sense that the area is finished. Good design shouldn't require an interior designer or a large budget, just pieces that are chosen with care.

Our Vision

A brand you keep coming back to for home décor. Although we began with pendant lights, we have higher goals in mind: to expand our collection over time while maintaining the same standards of quality and design in order to transform Nothoro into a carefully chosen destination for the items that give a home its character. We start with lighting. We're going to the entire house.
